En aquel entonces, exist\u00eda una gran demanda de artesanos que estaban especializados en dicho oficio. Durante el siglo XIX, la clase burguesa comenz\u00f3 a interesarse en la moda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph   --s\">En toda Europa, empez\u00f3 a incrementarse la demanda de creaci\u00f3n y confecci\u00f3n de prendas; por este motivo, las costureras pudieron desarrollar su oficio por cuenta propia. Actividad que hasta entonces, estaba prohibida.<\/p>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph   --s\">Cuando comenz\u00f3 el siglo XX, era muy com\u00fan que las mujeres se dedicaran a ser costureras. Principalmente, aquellas mujeres que pertenec\u00edan a clases de menores recursos.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mod-banner --middle_2_dsk  \">\n<div id=\"middle_2_dsk\" class=\"com-banner\" data-slot-group=\"nota\" data-device=\"desktop\" data-ad-unit-path=\"\/133919216\/la_nacion_desktop\/Nota\/middle_2_dsk\" data-targeting=\"{&quot;sitio&quot;:&quot;lanacion&quot;,&quot;seccion&quot;:&quot;nota&quot;}\" data-without-hide=\"true\" data-size=\"[[1,1],[728,90]]\" data-sizemap=\"[]\" data-prebid-enabled=\"true\">\n<p class=\"com-paragraph   --s\">Tal es as\u00ed, que\u00a0<strong>de peque\u00f1as se ve\u00edan obligadas a ejercer este oficio para poder confeccionar no solo vestimentas<\/strong>, sino tambi\u00e9n art\u00edculos enfocados para el hogar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph   --s\">De esta manera, trabajaban largas horas en talleres; algunas mujeres lograban abrir su propio establecimiento, pero otras sufr\u00edan explotaci\u00f3n laboral.<\/p>\n<p>Con el tiempo,\u00a0<strong>la situaci\u00f3n de las costureras comenz\u00f3 a cambiar, gracias a una larga saga de luchas y protestas.<\/strong>\u00a0En el D\u00eda Mundial de la Costurera, se conmemora su profesi\u00f3n, pasi\u00f3n y su trabajo, el cual marc\u00f3 un antes y un despu\u00e9s en la moda.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda podemos ver que cada vez hay m\u00e1s hombres que practican la costura.
